Before you book your car in anywhere, ask these five questions. Will you put the price in writing? Are the parts genuine OEM-spec? What happens if the job changes? How long will it take? Who actually does the work? A workshop that answers all five without flinching is worth keeping. Straight answers, fair prices, genuine parts - that's how we work in Mackay. Book your inspection.

Have a look at this tyre. One thing on it would fail a roadworthy - can you pick it?

The answer: the inside shoulder. Worn dead smooth and starting to crack. From the outside it looks fine, which is exactly why it gets missed.

If yours looks like this, get it checked before it costs you a set of tyres. Straight answers, fair prices - TFD Tyre & Mechanical, Mackay.

We've spent 18 years in the trade telling Mackay drivers exactly what their car does and doesn't need, so you never get the runaround. Got a servicing question you've never had a straight answer to?
