Nissan Navara in the workshop for a rear crankshaft seal replacement and sump reseal.

Not exactly a quick job, gearbox, clutch and flywheel all have to come out to get access and get the job done. 🔧

A decent amount of work just to stop a couple of oil leaks! 😅

350 Chev in for a full rebuild 🔧🔥

This 350 Chev came in with a serious engine knock.

A quick inspection of the oil filter revealed plenty of metal, pointing towards a bearing failure. The engine was pulled out and the bottom end stripped down for a closer inspection.

It’s going to need a full rebuild, stay tuned for the teardown, inspection and rebuild process. 👀🔧

Something a little different for my days off!

The local BMX club mower had been lacking a bit of maintenance and unfortunately dropped the rocker gear, bending the pushrods.

Pulled it down and inspected the engine to make sure nothing else had failed. Removed all the rocker gear, refitted everything with new bolts and Loctite, fitted new pushrods, carried out a valve adjustment and gave it a full service.

All sorted and back to cutting grass! 💪🌱

Another job done and keeping the local community equipment running.

🚗🔧 Still here… just flat out! 🔧🚗

If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, don’t worry, RSSR Automotive is still going strong! I’ve just been incredibly busy.

I currently have a couple of larger jobs that are taking up most of my time, so booking availability is limited.

🔧 Not every repair is straightforward!

This Holden Barina came into RSSR Automotive with a coolant leak. Once we removed the hose, we discovered the coolant pipe sleeve had completely rusted away.

With the replacement part no longer available in Australia, we tracked one down from overseas. We then carefully die-ground the old sleeve out, pressed the new one into place, and reassembled everything.

Given the condition of the cooling system, we also carried out a complete cooling system flush before refilling it with fresh coolant.

✅ New coolant pipe sleeve installed
✅ Cooling system flushed
✅ Fresh coolant
✅ Leak repaired and back on the road

Sometimes the biggest challenge is finding the right parts, but we’re always happy to go the extra mile to get our customers back on the road.

🔥 Fresh new look for this Pajero Sport!

💪 Another one back on the road!

This Jeep came into the workshop with some serious rock damage to the front radius arm mounts. The mounts had been repaired previously, but unfortunately the old welds had cracked again.

We fabricated a brand-new radius arm mount, welded it directly to the differential housing, and got everything reassembled and ready to hit the tracks again.

While it was in the workshop, we also completed:
