This is your sign to book in for that performance mod you’ve been dreaming of.

Mark’s mechanical aren’t just a cookie cutter routine maintenance workshop. We can also create the upgrade of your dreams so you can hit the trails of all the local car meets sounding flasher than a rat with a gold tooth.

Here is a side by side of new vs old cam being swapped out. The difference is hard to see in a photo but when it’s done the idle will be lumpy enough that the engine will sound like ZZ Top’s La Grange.

Superstar apprentice Indi hard at work switching out the tread challenged tyres on Mark’s Ute so we can safely make it down to Horizon Performance Part’s Girl’s Garage Night tonight.

We can’t wait to meet other car enthusiasts and women in workshops.

On the safety note, don’t forget especially in these on off rainy conditions how slippery the roads can get and the difference a good set of tyres with decent tread can make.

Mark’s Mechanical offers free tyre safety checks if you have any concerns or you can check it easily yourself by looking for the tread depth markers in your tread and ensuring they’re not even with the flat part of your tyres.

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.

Mark’s Mechanical wish to honour the service men, women and animals, past and current who risk their lives in defence of our country and values.

We would also like to wish everyone safe travels to services or on adventures over the long weekend.

Be safe on our roads and watch out for double demerits.

I have chosen to share this photo of a Wirraway plane as a nod towards Mark’s Pop who served and was injured as a pilot flying wirraways in the airforce during WW2.

I took this photo at the incredible Warbirds Over Scone event earlier this year where it was very moving seeing the historic planes fly in formation.

Here is a look at Mark’s v8 Hilux for those that haven’t seen it out and about at cruises, park ups or rumbling around town.

Originally converted from Toyota’s unkillable, but gutless, naturally aspirated four cylinder to the iconic Ford Windsor V8 of XR8 fame by a customer.

Mark fell in love with the build and bought it, swiftly converting it from gas to petrol to get even more power from his little beauty. With a few other tweaks, a new bonnet and some very fat tires it’s still a work in progress like any mechanics passion project. Foxy as she’s known around here can be seen cruising into town for date nights or zipping around the area on errands as Mark’s favourite drive.

Not your average Hilux.

At Mark’s Mechanical we can repair and maintain pretty much any make and model of light vehicle but did you know we can also help you follow your dreams to build something unique and custom.

This customer was the original mastermind of Mark’s treasured v8 Hilux you may have seen running around. This build kept to four cylinders but features an impressive turbo upgrade! After fitting the turbo and all the other tweaks that go with a build like this Mark took this custom build down to the dyno to test how much power this little Hilux is working with and fine tune how it runs.

One of the perks of working around the workshop is seeing all the contortions the mechanics twist themselves into trying to retrieve hard to reach nuts, bots and parts.

Like all good awkward moments this one got witnessed by as many people as could stumble into the area as possible.

Indi coined this one “morning stretches”, I dubbed it “when that hard to reach part starts looking like a Pilates session.” Mark’s caption can’t be repeated on social media. 😅
