Time for some new brakes on this 2HAL Otto Tuza.

We recently completed a full service on this 2HAL Otto Tuza.
During inspection, we found the existing brake shoes were heavily worn and at risk of failure. To keep the float safe, we replaced the full set of backing plates, brake shoes and magnets and carried out all necessary adjustments. The braking system is now operating correctly, providing reliable and safe braking performance for many kilometers to come.

We often get asked, What is included in a service on a horse float?

🔷 A service covers the following:

🔹 Replace all wheel bearings and seals
🔹 Clean, adjust and check over of the brakes
🔹 Rotate the tyres and tyre pressures
🔹 A full l**e up of all hinges, latches and grease points.
🔹 A full safety check over of the entire float which includes the floor, ramp, rubber, lights, wiring, battery, wear n tear of suspension components, tyres, loose bolts/nuts/screws/rivets, and check and asses of any rust.

If we find anything that needs replacing or repairing, we will let you know beforehand unless it’s something small, quick and easy.

Here is another gas strut conversion that we just completed on this 2HSL. We also gave this one a much needed service and a safety check along with a new set of Yokohama tyres fitted by our local Tyres n More here in Logan Village.

Here are some before and afters on a floor that we just replaced in this 2HAL. A good solid chassis but was missing some support.
So we welded in some new floor supports so that the new floor will be much safer then the old one.
We also added a 50mm rubber strip under the front divider to keep the fluids out of the front of the float.

Here’s another tail gate conversion that we we just completed. 👏🏼
This one used to be on Hydraulics and the client kept on having issues with it so we converted it to gas struts. Gas Strut Recharge does all of our gas strut pressures to suit all of the different tail gate weights.

Here’s a divider that we customised last week on this Kara Kar 2HAL.
We extended the divider down to 20mm off the floor to create usable storage at the front of the float for tack, hay, rakes, buckets etc.
We will also be adding on a 3x100mm strip of rubber across the bottom for added protection from the horses hoof. 🐴
