Brett wanted to have a go at no prep racing with the No Prep Racers Australia yesterday at Sydney Dragway.
We entered the big tyre class, set the suspension up to what we thought was a good starting point and Kon helped us with the tune up to get the car down the track.
First pass the car went straight down broadway with 1 kit of nitrous and we were happy. By the third pass the second kit was turned on and the car was running very consistent. We didn't make any shock changes all day, Kon just kept tweaking the timing and we kept going up in tyre pressure.
Brett drove the car hard and made it to the final, his first final in the new car. We raced Steve Athens in the final and Steve ran a 4.51 to win against Brett's 4.67, oh so close but so far away. Both cars ran their fastest pass in the final.
I really wanted Brett's first win but it is what it is, we'll keep digging at it.
A massive thanks to Brian, Glen and Burt for working your butts off yesterday, it was a great day. A big thanks to Kon for helping us with the tune up we appreciate it heaps.
Brett as usual driving the car like a legend, we've been through a lot of low's so I hope yesterday was as good for you as it was for me

There's no better feeling than knowing all your soldiers made it back to base after a 3 month stint out in the workshop somewhere 🤣🤣
