🏁 AUSX is back! Big opening night in Townsville for the Yamaha crew.

Lux Turner took 2nd in SX2 on his 2027 YZ250F. He went down in a first-turn pile-up in race one, remounted dead last and charged back to 5th, then came home 2nd in race two for a 5-2 night.

SX3 was a Yamaha 1-2: Jack Nunn won the round and Monster Energy WBR Yamaha's Jack Deveson took 2nd, both on YZ250Fs.

Noah Ferguson (4th), Max Anstie (6th), Jai Constantinou (7th) and Seth Burchell (8th) gave Yamaha five of the SX2 top eight.

Next round is Auckland, NZ, on 31 October.

Tuesday Track Talk is in — Dirty in Darwin.

The MXGP of Australia was back in Darwin and Yamaha had a huge presence trackside, with support for the event plus freight and travel help for Yamaha riders.

Junior standouts Blake Bohannon and Jobe Dunne starred in the interstate challenge. Bohannon (back on the YZ85) swept all four motos and led NSW to victory. He now heads to France for the Yamaha BLU CRU YZ Superfinale at the MXoN on a YZ125.

Jobe Dunne took second in MX3 with 3-2-3-2, edging fellow Yamaha rider Hayden Downie on countback — a strong lead-in to the Australian Junior Nationals in Shepparton next week.

Lachlan Turner made the trip from the US after her AMA WMX and ProMX MXW titles. A tough Saturday (8th) flipped into a Sunday charge — she led mid-race before finishing 2nd, for 4th overall on 8-2.

Souya Nakajima’s Darwin 450 run ended early with a first-turn pile-up; scans clear, sore hip and slight concussion, resting back in Japan.
