WORKSHOP CLEAN UP
Ok the time has come for a bit a clean out of excess parts and tools, if you see anything you’re interested in give me a call or message me during business hours and I’ll give a price.

Something a bit different this week to work on. Customer dropped off his TR-7 with a freshly built alloy V8 for me to fire up and run in the cam. Once all that was sorted it was time to sort out the tune and fit the newly built disc brake rear end with l*d supplied by the owner.
It certainly makes all the right noises and has no shortage of power.

Hq 2 door which I had in to remove the engine a strip and repaint all the accessories. While I was in there I replaced the sloppy timing chain, added a new balancer and water pump with a cast impeller, new thermostat then refitted all the parts and added a thermo fan and Davies Craig fan controller then replaced the leads and fitted the customer supplied new carb then serviced and tuned. The customer will be replacing the rocker covers in the coming weeks to really make it pop.

It’s been hectic at work to say the least so I’ve honestly haven’t had much time to be taking photos etc, but here’s a few from the last month or so.
HR Holden in for all new brakes and remote booster upgrade
Model T C Cab for a leaking inlet manifold gasket
63 Cadillac for a new tailshaft centre bearing, universal joints, numerous oil leaks, lots of electrical, brakes etc and at nearly 6 metres long takes up a lot of space.
Mustang for a new heater core and tune up.
There’s been quite a few more and at this rate it’s looking to be a very busy year.

Apologies for the lack of posts but I’ve been extremely busy, but here’s one for the ford fans. I had the pleasure of working on this XA GT earlier this week. I removed an old and outdated ignition system and fitted a ICE Ignition supplied by the owner then tidied up and modified some wiring to suit. Once done it was time for a road test and make any final adjustments to the timing.
In the background of one of the photos you’ll see our next project a Datsun 1600 which at present is a bare shell which we’ll be building for a customer.

Well today I said goodbye to the beast of a panelvan its off home to be fitted out and completed by the owner. It will be back for a final tune and shake down once it’s been completed. It would have to be one of the biggest jobs I’ve ever tackled but with the help of David McPharlin and my sparky Mark Austin we’ve achieved an awesome tuff as blown big block panelvan that is sure to turn heads.

Well after what I believe is close to 25 years the panelvan not only moved but shook the earth under its own power. There’s still a few things to be done but the biggest boxes have now been ticked off. You’re going to love it Nathan Dean
