🏍️ A HUGE SHOUT-OUT TO BEC! 🏍️
Here at Richardson’s Harley-Davidson and the House of Motorcycles, we’re proud to recognise and support Tasmania’s riding community—and there’s a fantastic new group helping learner and provisional riders find their confidence on two wheels.
The group was started by Bec, a member of another wonderful Tassie riding community, Women on Wheels Tasmania.
As a learner rider, Bec struggled to find her place. She worried about holding up group rides, felt pressured to keep pace and sometimes felt like an inconvenience—something many learner and provisional riders can relate to.
Realising she wasn’t alone, Bec, with the support of Women on Wheels Tasmania’s Rayleen Glover, created an exclusive L and P Plater riding group in North East Tasmania.
It’s a safe, welcoming and pressure-free space where riders can learn, build confidence and enjoy riding together.
The group:
💜 Welcomes both women and men
💜 Never exceeds 80km/h
💜 Welcomes fully licensed riders who want to offer encouragement and support
💜 Makes sure nobody feels pressured, left behind or like an inconvenience
Bec held the group’s very first ride on Sunday, with 10 riders taking part—and it was a huge success!
There’s also a very special family connection to Bec’s riding journey. Her 69-year-old dad recently gained his learner licence and purchased his very first Harley-Davidson. What an incredible father-and-daughter journey for them to share!
If this sounds like the supportive riding environment you’ve been looking for, head over and join Bec’s group. Regular rides and events are planned, giving riders the opportunity to learn, gain confidence and enjoy the journey together.
Congratulations, Bec! What you’ve created is truly needed, and Richardson’s Harley-Davidson and the House of Motorcycles are proud to support you. 👏💜
