A quick look at what’s been keeping us busy in the workshop today.

A few different jobs on the go and another busy week nearly wrapped up. 🔧

This customer came to us worried her engine might be on its way out.

So before jumping to conclusions, we took the Holden Trax for a drive and gave it a general inspection.

The good news? We didn’t find any major engine issues.

We did find a few maintenance items that need attention — including spark plugs and filters, along with a battery we’d recommend replacing. The brake pads are also getting close to replacement.

From here, it’s about having a chat with the customer, explaining what we’ve found and working out what she’d like to do now and what can wait.

Sometimes a second look can give you a much clearer picture of what’s actually going on.

A little look around the workshop today 👋

A regular service, some transmission work, a failed alternator and a few other jobs keeping the team busy.

No two days here are quite the same!

A clutch job turned into a little more than expected on this Triton 👀

Once we got into it, we found a well-worn clutch, a leaking rear main seal, split CV boot, an oil leak and a crack in the exhaust.

Finding extra issues doesn’t mean we just go ahead and fix everything.

We check in with the customer, explain what we’ve found and talk through what they’d like us to do before moving ahead.

In this case, we’re also replacing the leaking seal while everything is already apart and welding up the exhaust crack for the customer.

Clear communication. No surprise bills. 👍

This one came in with vibrations, knocks and bumps - and after getting it up on the hoist, we found a few things needing attention.

Not everything has to be done at once though. For now we’re sorting out the shocks and tyres with other items planned for later.

That’s a big part of what we do at My Auto Hub - work out what’s going on, explain what needs attention and help you prioritise the rest.

An ongoing brake issue that needed a closer look 👀

This car had already been checked elsewhere, but the problem was still there. After some further investigation, our team was able to find the cause.

Sometimes the first answer isn’t the final answer. Taking the time to properly diagnose what’s going on can make all the difference.
