To all our customers,

We are taking a break, (the longest since 2008), as we need to rest our minds and bodies at this age!
We will be back to work on the 26th of August, email may work from time to time however we are going to be at times in remote areas. We will try to reply for emergencies.

Thanks for the understanding, see you later this month 😊. Justin, Juliet and Paul.

It has been 7 days since the government walked away from negotiations - 7 more days of disrespect.

Jeremy Rockliff should intervene and get the government back to negotiations.

EASTER BREAK
We will be CLOSED 15th April to 25th April

15/02/2022

TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS,
Due to workload, we will be closing the workshop to enquiries and face to face contact on Thursdays and Fridays, for an indefinite period.
You can still call and leave a message on 6229 1102 or email at [email protected].
I will be unavailable during those 2 days except for emergencies. The gate/workshop will be closed those 2 days.
With regard to emergencies, a clear EMAIL message outlining the issues must be received so I can respond accordingly.

Closing the workshop for these 2 days has been a necessary step to maintain a semblance of order and get some very overdue jobs finished for some VERY patient people.
It will also enable some larger jobs to be done without interruption, which as you can appreciate is important to maintain a level of quality work.

Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays will remain as usual

WORKSHOP CLOSED THURSDAY AND FRIDAY

We just spent the day with this extraordinary Tasmanian, Jim Godfrey. He's on a mission to have foxglove listed a declared w**d so that its sales in nurseries can be banned, and action taken to keep it out of wilderness areas.

He's enlisted an impressive cohort of fellow travellers, including former Greens leaders Bob Brown and Christine Milne, Tasmanian minister for the environment Roger Jaensch and Liberal Senator Eric Abetz.

🤩 You can support him by joining his new Tasmanian Foxglove page https://www.facebook.com/groups/851421505447431

🤩 If you are a Tasmanian resident sign the petition to have foxglove listed a declared w**d: https://haepetitions.parliament.tas.gov.au/haepet/Home/PetitionDetails/99

🤩 And we'll have a more indepth story about Jim's campaign in the next edition of the Feral Herald, so make sure you're signed up at https://invasives.org.au/how-to-help/subscribe/

Help Buy Phone Credit

We have had many wonderful people contacting us over the last two weeks asking how they can practically help Hazara people and support the local Hazara Community.

At this time it is not easy to get money to those in need in Afghanistan but there is still a lot that can be done here in Hobart that will support people in Afghanistan.

We are talking with members of the Hazara Community of Southern Tasmania every day because we believe that local Hazara people know best about what their community needs both here and in Afghanistan.

There are many, many ways to help!

So we will be posting several ways that you can offer practical assistance over the next few weeks.

One of the most practical ways you can financially help is to give donations for phone credit. To call Afghanistan it can cost up to $1.85 per minute and when the internet is not working in Afghanistan, local community members need to use phone calls to keep in touch.

Families are spending around $50 to $100 per week just on trying to keep in contact with their families in Afghanistan to support them as they cope with the horror of the Taliban and also ask for information to assist with visa applications.

if you wish to help purchase phone credit, please drop money into Zafira Fine Foods into our donations box and we will pass it onto the Hazara Community on your behalf.

If you wish to make a larger donation you can donate directly into the Hazara Community bank account: BSB 067100 Acccount Number: 10337551 and put phone credit as the reference.

Even $1 will help with cost of a phone call that will connect loved ones!

Thank you so much!
