This Ranger came into the workshop for a routine service, but during our inspection we found a couple of things that definitely needed attention.

The wet timing belt was overdue by time and was already starting to deteriorate.

Wet timing belts rely heavily on correct servicing and the correct oil specification. Poor servicing, extended service intervals and using the wrong oil grade can contribute to premature belt deterioration, and these belts are known to fail or snap when deterioration becomes severe.

That can quickly turn into a very expensive engine repair.

We also found the injectors were leaking down, so while we were addressing the timing system, we took care of the fuel system and drivetrain properly as well.

We carried out:

This is exactly why proper servicing matters. Wet timing belts aren’t something you want to gamble with, especially when the vehicle’s service history, oil specification or service intervals aren’t right.

A routine service can uncover problems before they become catastrophic—and in this case, catching the deteriorating belt and leaking injectors has saved the customer from potentially much bigger problems down the track.

This NP300 single turbo came into the workshop for a custom dyno tune.

Let’s be honest… these things aren’t exactly a powerhouse from the factory. 😂 And with big mud tyres adding extra weight and rolling resistance, we weren’t expecting to set any dyno records.

But the goal wasn’t just to chase a peak number.

We wanted to improve the vehicle throughout the rev range, giving it better response, stronger torque and making the most of the factory setup.

📉 Standard:
99 HP
324 Nm

📈 Tuned:
121 HP
357 Nm

That’s a gain of:

🔥 +22 HP — +22%
💪 +33 Nm — +10%

More importantly, we achieved improvements across the rev range rather than simply chasing a headline figure at the top.

With those big mud tyres, the extra power and torque will make a noticeable difference where it actually matters—getting the NP300 moving, climbing hills and pulling through the gears without working the engine as hard.

No magic numbers. No generic file. Just a custom tune developed around the vehicle, its setup and the owner’s requirements.

Sometimes you don’t need to build a powerhouse.

This Golf came into the workshop with a random misfire, so we got straight into the diagnosis.

After a thorough check-over and analysing the live data, we found the direct-injection (DI) injectors were failing and sticking open.

The result? The engine was being heavily over-fuelled, while the short-term fuel trims simply couldn’t compensate for the additional fuel being delivered.

Rather than throwing parts at it, we diagnosed the actual cause and got stuck into the repair.

✔️ Replaced all 4 injectors
✔️ Tested & verified engine operation

Once the new injectors were fitted and everything was checked over, the Golf was back to running properly—and it hasn’t missed a beat since. 💪

This Golf MK5 came into the workshop for some important preventative maintenance, including a timing belt and water pump replacement.

While we had it in, we carried out a full vehicle safety inspection and gave the customer a clear plan of what needs attention to bring the vehicle back up to scratch—prioritising the important stuff first.

Grant brought his Triton into the workshop looking for something a little different.

🔥 And yes… he wanted it to roll some coal.

Not exactly our usual approach when it comes to diesel tuning—we prefer clean, efficient power and proper drivability—but the customer had a very specific goal in mind, and we built the tune around his request.

One of them was a little bit overdue for its service… 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 But better late than never!

This Kia Sorento came into the workshop for its 100,000km logbook service, and we took the opportunity to give the vehicle a proper once-over while it was here.

At 100,000km, servicing isn’t just about changing the oil. It’s about checking the vehicle from front to back and making sure everything is safe, reliable and ready for the kilometres ahead.

Steve’s ute came into the workshop for its 100,000km routine service, but with this sort of mileage, we weren’t interested in just changing the oil and sending it on its way.

We gave the vehicle a thorough once-over and carried out a comprehensive maintenance package to keep the engine, drivetrain and braking system ready for the next 100,000km.

This Navara PRO-4X came into the workshop with a complaint of continuous squealing from the rear brakes.

We got it straight onto the hoist and carried out an inspection of the rear braking system. We found the rear drum brake shoes were well out of adjustment, which was causing the issue.

A quick adjustment and the braking system was back where it should be.

✔️ Rear brake inspection
✔️ Diagnosed excessive drum brake shoe adjustment
✔️ Adjusted rear brake shoes
✔️ Wheel rotation
✔️ Completed while the customer waited

Sometimes it’s not about throwing expensive parts at a problem. Proper diagnosis and adjustment can be all it takes to get things working correctly again.

Customer was back on the road with the brakes sorted and tyres rotated—all while they waited. 💪
