Rotors with external and internal lightening plus some combustion face shaving. Most rotors Series 4 and earlier can have material removed from a number of areas. They are generally so thick it has no effect on strength or integrity.

How to remove the front plate water plug, Plug is 3/8 npt taper. This little plug might test your patience, if a hex bit works your in luck. If it rounds out the hex like 9 in 10 of them do, here are two ways you can try which both work and leave the thread without damage.

Marty & Doc discover they had some serious port timing overlap with a Side Fed PP. A couple of 13B housings in for a clean up. Nostalgic build by owner, lots of devcon and make it big was the go back in those days.

Time for some paint. When it comes to engines not much looks better than a rotary motor painted up with that old school fast fours and rotaries bumblebee look. I use Harts Automotive Paint supplies Moss street, slacks creek, for all my paints and accessories. Going through the process, cleaning up parts. Checking for burrs, bruises, flatness on surfaces. Making sure everything is nice and tidy so when the front hub nut is torqued, it does not pull out of alignment. All nice and straight and torqued ready for a balance.

Engine plates going through the process of grinding and lapping. What your plates should look like before you build. This plate has been ground, nitride, reground and lapped. You should have a similar finish or aim for a finish close to a new factory engine plate.

Nitriding engine parts. Early 12A and early 13B modified with window bearing groove and large thrust bearing relief. The key to good nitriding on any parts is all in the preparation work before they enter the oven. The process for these gears, machine work, deburr, linish any marks, clean and blast, rinse in acetone. Parts will spend the night inside a large oven pumped full of gas. It all comes down to the time spent on the parts before they are handed over to a heat treatment facility. If you put in the effort, the results are great.
