1998 Toyota Hilux
A solid old car in need of some love.
Brakes barely worked. Diagnosed as multiple failures.
-Found loose rear brake line, removed lines and cleaned out. Replaced rear wheel cylinders due to exposure to water and rust.
-Rear brake proportioning valve seized, replaced
-Brake master cylinder leaking and bypassing internally, replaced.
-Brake fluid flushed. Brakes now work.
Headlights dim
-Previously wired incorrectly when installing spot lights. Cut out unsafe and uninsulated wiring and rectified pin allocations to headlights. Earth switched high and low beam now correct.
Front driveshaft cv joint boots split for a long time, internal bearings dry and rusty. Replaced complete shafts.
Front wheel bearings excessive play. Replaced with new races and grease.
Very uneven and unsafe wear patterns on tyres. Multiple issues caused this although the major culprit was the steering idler arm. Replaced and greased.
Boost leak found from open intake source. An easy repair, diagnosed and rectified at no extra cost.
All repairs are quoted in order of priority for every vehicle.
