We had a heap of fun last night at diesel assault with our battered little Navara D22 dyno pig, surprised a lot of people, running 15.7, she won every run she did, beating a tuned 300 series, countless patrol TD42s and a 235bhp Colorado. She got a lot of WTF attention which made it even more fun, we know theres much quicker vehicles out there but we wanted to keep this one feasible for both on the road, and also for customers to achieve similar, with out a stupid budget! Next time we will remove the 32" all terrains and see what she achieves! Will post up some videos shortly.

Been having a lot of fun with our Nissan Navara D22 "Dyno Pig". Running the YD25 motor, we wanted to show various power upgrade options and level of tune, that customers could choose from, depending on what they wanted to achieve, with out going over the top and still keeping it as viable options for the road.

Red is a stock run, as most D22s kick out, around the 95-100bhp mark.

Green is a stock vehicle, just with our tune, this is very popular with alot of people. running 24psi, while maintaining 18:1 AFR's, so very safe, and great gains of 52% in bhp and 56% in torque, an exhaust and an intercooler upgrade would push this option further.

Pink is our D40 turbo upgrade and exhaust, still utilising the top mount intercooler setup, this went to 33psi boost before we ran out of injector output, sitting at 19:1 AFR's, this gave an 82% gain in BHP and nearly doubled the torque at 94% gains! 176bhp and 490nm! we could have got more out of the stock d40 turbo setup with +30 injectors.

BLUE! blue is a stage 2 D40 turbo from our friends at www.procharge.com.au , +30 injectors from one of our local suppliers and a PWR water to air charge cooler. We pushed her to 37 psi boost and kept the fuelling safe ar 17:1 AFR's, the results....

235bhp and just under 540nm! thats gains of 139bhp, increasing 146%! and torque gains of 286nm, increasing 114%! thats more in gains, than most D22s have in total!

shes bent, rough round the edges, still on all 32inch all terrains, but shes our dyno pig and so much fun to drive!! 😃 will post up some video's soon!

A vision.... to plastic..... to billet 🙂 Frankie the Nissan Pathfinders next upgrade. Have just gotten the transfer case adaptor back from the machine shop, and she fits great! Using a 1 3/8th long output shaft and the LOJ conversions spline adaptor, allowed us to build the adaptor to 120mm, this made the over all assembly length identical to the original transmission and transfer case.

Boosted L98 motor with a Turbo 400 transmission with the Pathfinder transfer case behind it! Have designed it so it utilises the factory cross member, factory transmission mount, factory front and rear drive shafts and we didn't have to make any modifications to the Llama Fabrications exhaust system either 🙂

Now to get the trans built... Then send it and see what breaks next 😀

A Nissan Navara D40 in, taking advantage of our $135 dyno health check, power runs. this is a great idea for ANY diesel vehicle to make sure the vehicles in top mechanical condition, hiding no small issues that can later cause much larger problems.
With all the bad diesel around at the minute, a great way of making sure the injectors arent over fuelling which can cause cracked heads and cracked/melted pistons.
we are still doing a few insurance claims a month for customers with engine failure due to bad fuel. Doing this check is a good way to help a potential claim in the future as it gives a good baseline that "on this date the vehicle was fine", so something has happened since, and its not just "an old vehicle".

A Nissan Patrol ZD30 DI on the rollers today for some fun, She responded really well to the alterations made to her.

Torque increased from 266nm to 387nm gains of 121NM which was an increase of 45%!! power also increased 20%

A Navara D40 128kw in for Tuning today, She responded really well to the alterations made to her.

she gained 44bhp, increasing from 120bhp to 164bhp with was an improvement of nearly 40%

Torque increased from 285nm to 388, gains of 103NM which was an increase of nearly 40%!

she gained 30bhp, increasing from 164bhp to 192bhp

Torque increased from 441nm to 540, gains of 100NM which was an increase of 25%
