This van has gone from basic battery and solar to an absolute OFF-GRID BEAST! 🤯☀️
The customer came to us wanting more freedom to get off the beaten track and enjoy life away from powered sites… and the team at Kropps certainly didn’t hold back! 💪

🔋 BATTERY POWER – GO BIG OR GO HOME!
We upgraded the original 1 x 120Ah AGM battery to a massive 600Ah lithium battery bank, made up of 2 x 300Ah lithium batteries!
To keep things safe and secure, we custom-fabricated sealed metal battery boxes with ventilation underneath, separating the batteries from the caravan’s living area.
☀️ SOLAR POWER – SUNSHINE, WE’RE READY!
How do you keep those big batteries charged? You give them plenty of solar! 😎
☀️ 5 x 210W high-voltage roof-mounted solar panels
☀️ 2 x Victron solar regulators splitting the solar input
☀️ External Anderson input for an additional 400W of high-voltage portable solar
That’s a whopping 1,450W OF TOTAL SOLAR CAPABILITY! 🤩
🚙 CHARGING ON THE GO!
We installed a Victron DC-DC charger connected to an Anderson plug, allowing the tow vehicle to help charge the batteries while travelling. More charging options mean more flexibility for those off-grid adventures!
⚡ 240V POWER – THE BIG GUNS!
We fitted a Victron MultiPlus 3000 inverter/charger to take this setup to the next level!
✔️ Powerful inverter capability for running 240V appliances off-grid.
✔️ Up to 120A battery charging from suitable shore power.
✔️ Integrated with the caravan’s 240V system.
✔️ Dual AC outputs to help manage power-hungry appliances efficiently.
The system is configured so appliances with gas alternatives, including the fridge, hot water system and stove element, don't unnecessarily draw inverted power when operating off-grid. That helps reserve valuable battery capacity for other essentials, such as the air conditioner and kettle! ☕❄️
📱 SMART MONITORING AT YOUR FINGERTIPS!
We installed a Victron Cerbo GX and GX Touch screen, giving the customer convenient access to monitor the system’s inputs and outputs. Power management made easy!
And because we know modern adventures need more than just the basics, we also added:
🔌 An Anderson plug output for a 12V fridge.
🛰️ A dedicated 12V output for Starlink.
