🏆Daimler Truck Technician of the Year 2026 🏆

We are thrilled to announce Brendan Haldane of Daimler Trucks Huntingwood was the winner, taking first place in the recent Mercedes-Benz Technician of the Year 2026 competition.

After two days of intensive practical hands-on evaluations and theory-based assessments, the top six finalists showcased exceptional technical expertise, real-world diagnostic challenges, product knowledge and professionalism.

Following the final assessments at the Daimler Truck Training Academy, Brendan was the overall winner in a tightly fought contest and took the prestigious title of Mercedes-Benz Technician of the Year, along with a trip to the United States or Germany.

Daimler Truck Australia Pacific Vice President of Service, Product, VPC and Elite, Stephen Downes, says the capability on display was exceptional.

“Truck technicians are absolutely critical to success of our customers, so it is important that we identify and celebrate the best of the best,” Mr Downes says.

“The skills on display during the Technician of the Year finals was a testament to dedication and commitment of every single one of our finalists and especially our much deserving winners,” he adds.
