A SERVICE IS MORE THAN JUST OIL AND FILTERS!

Found a few cracked welds while carrying out a routine service on this little digger today.
It’s a good reminder why a thorough inspection is just as important as the service itself.
All our services include a general machine inspection to identify potential issues, wear, damage and developing faults before they turn into bigger and more expensive problems.
A few minutes spent picking up a problem early can save a lot of downtime down the track!

A Cummins QSZ13 getting some attention out on site today.

Carrying out a top-end tune-up, checking and adjusting valve clearances as part of its scheduled hour-based maintenance.

A BIT OF WORKSHOP INGENUITY!

Not everything in the workshop comes off the shelf. We’ve put together our own set of custom-made tractor splitting rails, designed and built in-house to make separating the engine and transmission safer, easier and more controlled.
Today we’re putting them to work splitting a tractor to get access to an oil leak.
A bit of fabrication, a bit of problem solving and another job underway in the workshop.

Was called out to get a welder/air compressor going and once I removed the covers I could not believe the massive infestation of termite that had invaded the interior of the welder. I must have vacuumed 30kg of termites and mound out of the bund. They had eaten holes in all the hoses abd crawled inside as well.

This old CAT 3304 has done its fair share of work, but it’s time for a fresh start. Full rebuild begins today. Let’s see what we find inside.
