Dodge D5N/AT4 Truck brake conversion, something we've developed quiet some years ago (10+ years), but truthfully we've never actually had an entire truck here to fit our brake kit to first hand. Enter Tyler's 'farm truck', engineers required a disc conversion to suit the upgraded engine that's in place.

Our kit retains the factory 8 stud stud pattern and original hub assembly, with our system adapting to it. We also took the time to develop and fit up a dual diaphragm booster and master combination to modernize the pedal to current standards. Doing away with utilizing the remote mounted VH40 that it had.

If you have one our of 8 stud brake upgrades on your D5N/AT4s and you would like a booster/master upgrade. Reach out and we'll get you some information and pricing to suit.

Wally brought us his ZD Fairlane for a upgrade recently, this particular example was still factory unassisted drum brakes system, with a now 'mild' 6cyl in place better brakes would be a must.

We did opt to move on from the drum stub axles, for slightly later model disc brake stubs. We did this to make clearance options for wheels easier and also make the brake upgrade a simpler bolt on process as well.
Whilst doing the upgrade, the entire car was replumbed to marry things up to the fully refurbished XB Falcon booster, and new master that was also fitted to finish thing off.

Good result.

Michael's 1956 Ford 'Tank' Fairlane was in for disc brake conversion, dual circuit master and remote mounted VH40 brake booster.

Space is surprisingly limited at the firewall on these models particularly with factory log manifold exhaust on the RH side. A replacement dual circuit master was put in place of the original, along with remote mounted booster (on the passenger) was a much better solution to complete as well as complement the disc brake conversion. Factory wheels did have to be changed to a disc brake suitable wheel, but importantly the new wheels retain the factory wheel caps.

Leigh had his 1956 Chevrolet Belair Sedan for a brake upgrade with us, and also some brain storming and thinking ahead for an update on the rear with his plans in mind.

There's just something about some old school chrome, a big block Chevy and some big Mickey Thompsons.

Hold on to your hats, doing some catching up on the installations we've completed this year.

To say we've had a busy year so far, is under selling it.

Peter brought us his 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 Convertible to upgrade/update his brakes from an American based disc conversion that was under performing to one of our Twin Piston PBR arrangements.

Best of luck to Steve Loader heading to Brashernats this weekend.

Alot of work has gone into UCSMOKE in recent weeks with a number of upgrades done, as well as the brakes.

Our Brake Upgrade went from the original wilwood setup he had stepping all the way up to a DBA 6 Piston & 5000 Series 350mm disc combo, we added also vacuum tank and VH44 remote booster as well.

One of the last bigger jobs of the end of the year. Sam has owned his XW for quite a long time. Has always been a well driven street bruiser. However brakes were in a serious need of attention, with front and rear brake upgrades for us to install.

Upgrading the front is quiet an easy process for us. However the rear being a 'modified' aussie 9inch disc brake rear end there was some things that we discovered upon dissemble that needed a different plan of attack to get the result we wanted.

A Few 'quirks' with axles required us to source some replacement units to get our kit to bolt on correctly. Upgrading to the later model arrangement along with a set of custom hand brake cables to suit the car, and the addition of a vacuum tank for support. The Falcon certainly stops to say the least now.

Hopefully many more years of enjoyment ahead. Thanks again Sam.
