A massive congratulations to Jorrit Kooistra (from The Windmill Garage) for absolutely nailing first place in the Italian Challenge Sprint last weekend (August 2) at Queensland Raceway.
A couple of weeks ago we posed the question, could anyone beat Mark Jackson's Giulia QV in the Italian Challenge Sprint. Well Jorrit stepped up with some blistering laps in his Giulietta QV to leave Jacko in his wake on every layout.
Mark Jackson took out second place, with Andrey Vishnevsky rounding out the podium in third. Great to see Andrey back on track and firing.
4th to 12th places went to: Phill O'Callaghan, Dean Williams, Darryl Meehan, Brent Hampstead, Alex Berry, John Anderson (go the President!), Rob Robson, Joe Gatto and Terry Druery.
Jack Dore also competed but is not an AROCA member so his fine efforts (fifth on track) didn't count for Alfa Comp points.
My sincere apologies for posting this so late. I've been down and out with the man flu. Cheers, Brent Hampstead
