A recap of a week in the life at HMLS.

We are lucky to have such a hard-working crew; they're a great bunch and always get stuck into whatever they're doing, and most importantly, know how to have a laugh along the way. A good sense of humor is definitely required around here.

I think we're all in agreement that Friday afternoon can't come quick enough.

Well look who decided to turn up again.... Monday!😅
Now for some reverse parking! 😎☀

Some boats can sail straight into the lifting bay. This 47ft Beneteau decided to keep things interesting.

A quick turn, a little reverse maneuvering, and some good skills to get her lined up and ready for the lift.

It may look easy when it's sped up, but there's a fair bit of precision involved in getting this into position smoothly.

Last but not least...🔧
Maintenance has also been underway on our forklift.
The forklift is an important part of keeping the yard moving, from lifting rack storage boats to handling the heavier jobs around the yard.

With peak season just around the corner, when the forklift gets a serious workout, it's important that we stay on top of preventative maintenance and keep it performing at its best.

We're currently re-chroming the tilt cylinders as part of that maintenance, helping us keep the forklift reliable and reduce the chance of unexpected down time when we are at our busiest.

We know having the forklift temporarily out of action has not gone unnoticed, and we appreciate the patience and understanding while we get the works completed.
In fact, we have received plenty of positive feedback from members who appreciate us taking the time to maintain our equipment properly and priortise safety and reliability.
