Dog clutch freshen up due to an oil leak from the seal carrier. We also replaced the log gland and skeg bush as opportune with the shaft disconnected. Both were close to end of life which can end up being a costly repair if they fail on water.

With the service of this 40hp Yamaha we fitted a new Solas prop, skeg guard and Runleader tacho/hour meter in the bluetooth model. The Runleader app allows you set service hours countdown, record a service log and set max RPM to suit the motor. The great benefit of the bluetooth model is it records the max RPM you hit so you don't have to be watching your phone while underway. This information is how we optimise the performance of our customers boat setup to get the most out of their outboards.
