As always, I have new students beginning their driving journey all the way through to the drivers preparing for their tests in the next few weeks.

In recent weeks, I have taken a few students out for the first time who have completed their hours but still have skills to build before taking their test. In order to give the best chance of being test ready by the time the 100 hours are done, think about booking in with me early. I can help build those skills and give you homework (😉) to set you on the right track.
It's a marathon, not a sprint!

September is over and the end of the year is on its way!

Congratulations to Luke, Tahlia, Georgie, Jayden, Olive, Kye, Cale, Emilee and Lucas who all passed their driving test in September! 🎊🎉🥳
Drive safe out there - and keep developing your skills. 🛣️

If your plan is to use my car for your test, remember to talk to me about this in advance. I have spaces held for tests, but we co-ordinate selecting the test time and date.
My advice will always be to use the car you are most comfortable and confident driving (whether that is your family car or a driving school car). To use my car, I have to be satisfied that you are driving at test standard... I won't be lending my car to someone I have not met before or who has more work to do to be test ready.

Congratulations to Maci, Noah, Charlee, Dylan and Lily who all passed their driving test in August!

I have quite a few people waiting on the cancellation list for lessons, so hopefully they will be able to get lessons in October and November 🤞

I am still surprised by the amount of people who want to learn to drive with just me and are prepared to wait months for the lessons - I wish there were more hours in the week so I could fit everyone in!

So as ever, plan ahead, keep me in the loop about your lesson and test plans - I do my best, but it is difficult to fit in last minute requests.

Well, that's a wrap on RYDA 2026! 🚗
It was a huge week, speaking to 994 year 10 students from across the region about road safety.
I had the privilege of running the Drive SOS session and engaging with some awesome young people across the week.

Thank you to the 4 local Rotary clubs who bring this event to life every year and put a huge amount of effort and time for it to run like clockwork. 🥰
And thank you to the sponsors and other organisations that make RYDA Maryborough what it is.

And thank you to Rotary Club of Hervey Bay Sunrise for these photos that I borrowed!

I am back in the car next week - might have a little nap today though. 😴

August is looking like another busy month, starting with RYDA next week! This will be the third year I have been invited to facilitate a session of the RYDA road safety program. Such a big week speaking to so many year 10's from across the Wide Bay & Burnett but it is such a privilege to be involved in this incredible program. 🚗

Anyway, it was worth it because Charlotte smashed her drivingtest with a clean sheet (no errors). Yes - I know it was her driving skills and not the fact that the car was clean, but I am little superstitious!

To support the program attended by year 10 students across the region, this FREE webinar is for parents and caregivers who will be helping their young person on their learn to drive journey.

In this 1 hour session:

- Unlock the mysteries of the teenage brain: What makes driving a challenge?
- Decode risk factors for Young Drivers
- Learn the art of coaching a learner driver

I had a 7 year old birthday party to attend today - they had a fabulous face painter there. I decided to rock my facepaint rainbow to my afternoon driving lesson today...
Even better was when my car wouldn't start and RACQ came out to visit. If the RACQ man noticed, he didn't say anything... probably just too polite. 🤪🤣
