Congratulations to Maci, Noah, Charlee, Dylan and Lily who all passed their driving test in August!

I have quite a few people waiting on the cancellation list for lessons, so hopefully they will be able to get lessons in October and November 🤞

I am still surprised by the amount of people who want to learn to drive with just me and are prepared to wait months for the lessons - I wish there were more hours in the week so I could fit everyone in!

So as ever, plan ahead, keep me in the loop about your lesson and test plans - I do my best, but it is difficult to fit in last minute requests.

Well, that's a wrap on RYDA 2026! 🚗
It was a huge week, speaking to 994 year 10 students from across the region about road safety.
I had the privilege of running the Drive SOS session and engaging with some awesome young people across the week.

Thank you to the 4 local Rotary clubs who bring this event to life every year and put a huge amount of effort and time for it to run like clockwork. 🥰
And thank you to the sponsors and other organisations that make RYDA Maryborough what it is.

Congratulations to Addison W, Monique, Zakk, Charlotte, Emma, Addison M, Jesse, Sebastian and Olivia who all passed their driving test in July! 🎊🎉🥳

August is looking like another busy month, starting with RYDA next week! This will be the third year I have been invited to facilitate a session of the RYDA road safety program. Such a big week speaking to so many year 10's from across the Wide Bay & Burnett but it is such a privilege to be involved in this incredible program. 🚗

Anyway, it was worth it because Charlotte smashed her drivingtest with a clean sheet (no errors). Yes - I know it was her driving skills and not the fact that the car was clean, but I am little superstitious!

I had a 7 year old birthday party to attend today - they had a fabulous face painter there. I decided to rock my facepaint rainbow to my afternoon driving lesson today...
Even better was when my car wouldn't start and RACQ came out to visit. If the RACQ man noticed, he didn't say anything... probably just too polite. 🤪🤣

Seven more Drive Smart students on the road this month, including two sets of twins! 🥳🎆
I am so happy for all my students who passed over the month - I am so glad you were all able to demonstrate the skills we have worked on, even without me there on test day. Goes to show that practice is key to good driving habits. 🎊🎉
I arrived back in the country today and have been catching up on all the emails and admin. Getting back in to lessons on Monday! 🙂🚗

You won't see my car around for the next few weeks, but I am just taking a break with the family.

This has been a long time in the planning, but thanks to the last minute efforts of the British Passport Office (🫣), it all came together in the end! 🥳😂
