For this edition of Through Your Eyes at Rawnsley, we're sharing this stunning dusk scene captured by True Blue Overland during their stay at Rawnsley Park Station this month.

As the sun sinks behind the ranges and the colours begin to change, it's easy to see why so many travellers choose to spend a little longer in the Flinders Ranges. The camp chairs are out, the BBQ is sizzling, and nature is putting on its nightly show.

As we get closer and closer to opening, it's fair to say we've reached Kitchen & Cabinet Week at the new Oasis Eco‑Villas.

Following the rains earlier in the month, Chief Pawtrol Officer, Digger, was recently deployed to Ferntree Falls to conduct a thorough safety inspection on behalf of all human walkers.

After carefully assessing the trail, checking the water flow, and sniffing every suspicious-looking rock and puddle along the way, Digger is pleased to report that Ferntree Falls is looking spectacular.

While the falls continue to flow, Digger would like to remind visitors that all walks should be undertaken with appropriate care and attention to the conditions. After all, not everyone has four paws and an expert nose for navigation.

Congratulations on a job well done, Digger. 🐾

If there's one dish that captures the essence of Rawnsley Park Station, it's our Rawnsley Station Lamb Platter for Two. 🐑

Featuring our own station-bred lamb cutlets, pressed shoulder, ragu and sausages, it's served with roasted kipfler potatoes, house-dried tomato, rocket and parmesan salad, condiments and jus. It's a true celebration of the flavours of the Flinders Ranges.

Not keen to share? You can also enjoy Sticky Rawnsley Lamb Ribs, a slow-cooked Rawnsley Station Lamb Shank, or perfectly prepared Rawnsley Station Lamb Cutlets.

And for those who are vegetarians or don't love lamb (we know, hard to believe! 😉), The Woolshed Restaurant offers a range of other delicious dishes showcasing the best of South Australian, seasonal produce.

Rawnsley Park Station is Open and Welcoming Guests 🦅

Following the recent rain events across the Flinders Ranges, we are pleased to advise that Rawnsley Park Station is fully open and accessible via Hawker Road, with our entrance road open to all vehicles.

While Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park has been temporarily closed, there is still plenty to experience without leaving Rawnsley Park Station. Guests can explore our extensive network of walking trails, enjoy scenic flights and select touring experiences, take in spectacular views from Rawnsley Bluff, and visit Ferntree Falls, which continues to flow following the recent rains.

As the Flinders Ranges community continues its recovery from recent weather events, our thoughts remain with the tourism operators, local businesses and communities affected. If you're travelling in the region, please drive to the conditions, follow all road advisories, and keep an eye out for wildlife, especially at dawn and dusk.
