While AWS has been busy with HAAS Alert demonstrations and pilot trials, our installation team has also been keeping busy with the day-to-day fleet installation work that keeps vehicles safe, visible and ready for the job.

One of our recent installs was this IONNIC lightbar, fitted to a motorsport medical team vehicle.

For medical and response teams operating around motorsport events, visibility is critical whether they’re moving through busy paddocks, responding trackside or working in low-light and high-traffic environments.

It’s another great example of the work happening behind the scenes alongside our connected vehicle safety initiatives: combining quality vehicle warning equipment today with the next generation of digital alerting through HAAS Alert.

The end of a roadworks queue is not a fixed hazard. It can move beyond the signs designed to protect it.

A recent Queensland safety alert followed two fatal incidents at roadworks sites and reinforces why end-of-queue risk needs constant attention particularly on high-speed roads, high-volume routes, heavy-vehicle corridors and locations where sight distance is limited.

The guidance is clear: predicted queue lengths need to be assessed, warning signs positioned in advance, queues regularly monitored and approach speeds checked. If the queue grows beyond the warning system, the traffic-management arrangement needs to respond not remain “set and forget”.

This is exactly where connected road-safety technology can add another layer of protection.
