🚗🔧 **CAR SERVICE TIP FROM ARMSTRONG CREEK MOTORS – DON’T WAIT FOR A PROBLEM!**
Did you know that **even if you don't drive your car very much, regular servicing is still important?**
Many customers think, “I’ve only driven a few thousand kilometres, so I don’t need a service yet.” But your vehicle can be affected by **time as well as kilometres**.
🛢️ **WHY REGULAR OIL & FILTER CHANGES MATTER**
Engine oil lubricates and protects many internal moving parts. Over time, oil can deteriorate and become contaminated, reducing its ability to protect the engine.
If your vehicle sits for long periods or is mainly used for short trips, moisture and contaminants can also build up in the oil.
Regular oil and filter changes help maintain proper lubrication and reduce unnecessary wear on internal engine components.
⚙️ **DON’T FORGET TRANSMISSION SERVICING**
Transmission fluid is important for lubrication, cooling and smooth operation. Depending on the vehicle and manufacturer's requirements, transmission fluid and filters may also need scheduled servicing.
📅 **10,000 KM OR 6 MONTHS?**
Many vehicles have service intervals based on **kilometres OR time — whichever comes first**. However, always check your vehicle manufacturer's recommended service schedule.
If you drive a lot of kilometres, you may need servicing sooner.
If you don't drive much, don't assume your vehicle doesn't need servicing. **Time-based maintenance is still important.**
