The Iron Shadow Classic Car Restoration and Metal Fabrication business, also now uniquely houses a Signage Department and a Mural Artist too. Created by Panel Be**er and Boilermaker Dennis Frahm, he had a dream to create a panel and metal repair and restoration business with a difference.

As founder and director, Dennis uses his skill and knowledge to also advise the hobbyist and the Classic car owners on metal working skills and proper care of their machinery’s metal bodies. A filmed restoration Series has now eventuated called ‘Rescue A Wreck’, all of which is filmed and compiled inhouse by Alison and her now certified apprentice signwriter daughter, Alex, and can be found on the website and You Tube.
Joining forces with then girlfriend Alison, A Mural and Airbrush Artist and Signwriter of Art Seduxion, the two went a step further, married and brought colour and further creativity into the finished products of Iron Shadow by merging two very different yet complimentary businesses into one. This delivers one great powerhouse of Creativity known as Iron Shadow. From sticker replacement to full scale airbrush murals, Iron Shadow continues to focus on client pleasure and remaining as a trusted brand. The added bonus of inhouse signage and Art is perfect when restoring vehicles and machinery and it certainly makes it the place to go to for those quality metal repairs, and unique car and machine restorations.
Iron Shadow can supply standard to custom signage and printing for any industry right through to decorative murals for businesses and the hobbyist.
A Buy Swap and Sell booklet also came about after Dennis was repeatably asked to assist with Classic Car’s true condition as people got repeatably burnt when buying and dealing in them. Offering tips and tricks alongside Anonymous listings for bodies, parts and complete cars for sale that have all been personally assessed by Dennis it is compiled and released half yearly by Alison with old issues to be found on the website www.ironshadow.com.au
Skilled and as passionate about quality fabrication and the care of vehicles since Dennis could ever remember, Dennis loves cars just as much as the first day he began his first apprenticeship as a panel be**er ... many years ago. Like a fine wine he has continued acquiring depth and skills, tickets and knowledge as he aged, including the second engineering trade of boiler making and his third painting and finishing trade also eventuating, after doing it longer than either of the first trades. Perfectly complimenting trades all assist in restoring and repairing many metal items, like the classic cars he loves and enjoys so much.
Dennis found a like minded, albeit younger soul, to work alongside him for a time in Grant Maclean. An extremely talented panel be**er with old school dedication to metal shaping and finishing. Grant is extremely skilled and passionate and very adept in the making shaping and rebuilding of metal panels for vehicles. Between the fabricator, the panel beating skills and experience of the two men together, they will bounce ideas off each other in a way that sees client’s cars recover in the best possible way that they can, and according to and as appropriate, for the budget of clients, and the legal issues our world faces as more people use roads and services.
Passion and wisdom are alive at Iron Shadow, and the team did at one stage consist of 4 dedicated team members. Each member having a unique set of skills and passion about what their role for and with Iron Shadow and all the business stands for.
