Another busy week here at AWC Mechanical! From servicing and repairs to getting customers back on the road, it’s been non-stop in the workshop.

Alex’s mum kept this little gem from 1997 🥹 now hung up in the workshop.

Pulling things apart, figuring out how they worked, and putting them back together again that’s always been Alex.

Growing up on the farm alongside his Pa, he spent countless hours working on tractors, motorbikes, and cars, building the foundations of what would become his career.

He’s always had a knack for working out the issue and fixing the problem no matter how big or small. To watch how he clearly eliminates and diagnoses motors is a skill not many have.

From those early days, to completing his apprenticeship in Canberra, moving to Goulburn and working locally, he saw the opportunity to open his own workshop.

It’s been the best decision, thanks to the support of our amazing customers, family and friends!

March 8 is the official day to celebrate International Women’s Day, but today we’re giving a shout-out to all the mums, wives and daughters who keep everything running… and make sure the cars get booked in for a service!

It’s about recognising the strength, resilience and contributions of women in our families, workplaces and communities. The women who organise, support, lead and keep everything moving. We also know that for many women, taking your car into a workshop can sometimes feel a bit daunting or intimidating. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable asking questions, understanding what’s being done to their car, and knowing they’re being looked after properly.

At AWC Mechanical, Alex always takes the time to explain exactly what’s needed, so there are no surprises when you pick up your vehicle.

To all the women who help keep the wheels turning at home, at work, and on the road thank you!
