UPDATE: The Stratford Boat Ramp has now reopened.

STRATFORD BOAT RAMP: Police are currently responding to an incident on the Barron River. Locals are advised that the Stratford Boat Ramp will be closed for most of the day and are urged to avoid the area.

New laws regarding life jackets as of 1 December, info in link

A lifejacket is a vital piece of safety equipment that could save your life. The best idea is to make sure you wear it. Put the lifejacket on as part of your pre-trip preparation. It is a lot harder to put a lifejacket on in the water during an emergency.

🎣 Fishing begins Friday 8th at 12pm until Sunday
🎣 Weigh in is 1pm- 2pm Sunday 10th
🎣 Catagories will be released Friday 8th- 12pm
🎣 Fishing boundaries- Daintree River to Port Hinchinbrook
