With the current issues with high fuel costs, the cost of living & expences in general, it is no wonder that people are looking to where they can save money,

Pardon the pun, A switch to electric or Hybrid vehicles as petrol or deisel powered vehicles are due for replacement is becoming more common, even as a second vehicle,
As electric vehicles have become more reliable, achieve greater range on a single charge, & more "Main Stream" this increases the appeal an option for the daily commute & local around town errands with a major fuel saving,

The Team at D & D Mechanical & 4wd are your Reliable & Skilled Service providers for Petrol, Deisel & Electric powered vehciles in Goolwa & the Fleurieu.
Our Team have been Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Trained, this up skilling is to enable servicing, repairs & trouble shooting to be completed on all makes & models of Electric & Hybrid vehicles,

We also service ADAS "Advanced Driver Asistance Systems" Radar, Assisted Parking, Ladar, Proximity Sensors etc & have been keeping Vehicle Owners & Families safe on the road for over 20 years,

In the interim, we have a few suggestions on ways to reduce your fuel consupmtion,
1. Keeping Tyres set at there optimal pressure, using better quality tyres which have less rolling resistance & better wear resistant characteristics,
2. Reducing weight - how much additional "stuff" you transport in your vehicle,
3. Saving your vehicles use for essential appointments/ errands, & try to complete non essential tasks at the same time (Not always possible :) )
5. If you have roof racks or roof top tents etc "Consider taking these off you vehicle & placing into storage until you need them on your next trip away,
6. if you are in an over 50's or retirement village, consider using the onsite or local community bus for your next trip into town or the city.
7. Car pool with your neighbour or friends who may have similar errands on the same days, a great way for a catch up & coffee

Happy motoring, we hope some of these tips help keep that cost of living down for you :)
