Merry Christmas y'all! 🎄
I wanted to take a moment to speak honestly with you all.
In previous years, I loved being able to send out little gifts and surprises at Christmas. This year, unfortunately, that wasn’t possible. The Z H2 draw really stretched us beyond what we should have done. I overextended with that bike and, as a result, Ironhorse took a substantial financial hit. For that, I genuinely apologise.
Ironhorse has always been about getting cool bikes into the community, giving everyday riders a real chance to win a dream bike for a fraction of the cost, and supporting charities, causes, and riders we truly care about. That part has never changed.
I’ve been pretty quiet for a while. A lot of that time was spent processing everything and trying to work out whether Ironhorse could realistically continue. To be honest, there was a point where I had pretty much given up.
But over the past month or so, a lot of people have reached out — asking what’s going on, checking in, offering help. It made me realise something important: people do care about what we’re trying to build here. They see the goal, and they believe in it too.
So things will change — but the mission stays.
Competitions will take a back seat for now while we reset. When we do go live again, it’ll be with a new format. A better way to support the causes you choose, and even better prizes than ever. Every future draw will start with a waitlist. Once that waitlist is full, the draw will go live. This allows us to only launch competitions that have real engagement, guarantees the draw can break even, raises funds properly for the chosen causes, and lets Ironhorse keep moving forward and changing lives as we go.
Thank you to everyone who has stuck around, reached out, or quietly supported from the sidelines. It genuinely means more than you know.
As we head into the festive period, please ride safe, stay vigilant, but also enjoy the freedom of those Christmas and New Year rides.
