Apprentice caught sleeping on the job.

Mark will be back Monday 7th September and we’ll recommence bookings for classics.

Please bear with us while Steph is off on maternity leave, as phones and emails may be slower than usual. Servicing, brakes and diagnostics can still be booked through our website.

If we miss your call, please leave a message so we can get back to you when available. We receive anywhere between 30-50 phone calls a day, so for non-urgent enquiries, please email [email protected] where possible, as the boys will be juggling the phones while working on vehicles.

⚡ WORKSHOP CLOSURE – FRIDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER ⚡

Please note that Chevron Automotive will be closed on Friday, 4th September due to a scheduled Energex power outage affecting us for the full day.

Unfortunately, without power we’re unable to operate the workshop, so no bookings will be available on this date.

We’ll reopen as normal the following business day.

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

The build has officially begun...

The new HiLux didn't stay stock for very long.

So far we've fitted:
✔️ Dobinsons IMS 2" Lift Kit
✔️ Billet Upper Control Arms
✔️ Lenso Wheels
✔️ Falken Tyres

It's already looking the part... but we're only just getting started.

The end goal isn't just another 4WD build. It's building a touring setup that lets us keep doing what we love while introducing our little bloke to the Australian outback.

Now comes the next big decision...

What are we going to tow? 🤔

It needs to be comfortable enough for family holidays, tough enough for the rough stuff, and capable of getting us to the remote places we've always loved exploring—places we could only really reach with our old 79 Series setup.

We've got some exciting ideas, but you'll just have to wait and see... 👀

Big changes at Chevron... 👀

After years of touring and camping in the 79 Series, we've added something new to the family... a brand new HiLux. 🔥

Why?

Because life is about to look a little different.

With our little bloke due soon, we still want to explore the places we love, get off the beaten track, and make memories as a family. The outback isn't going anywhere, and we're determined to show him just how incredible this country is.

Of course, we couldn't leave it stock for long... 😏

The modifications have already started, and there's plenty more to come.

If you're into 4WDs, touring, camping, or just love seeing a build come together, watch this space. We'll be sharing the upgrades, before eventually putting it to the test where it belongs.

The next adventure just has one extra passenger. ❤️🏕️🚙

📞 Phone System Update

We’re currently experiencing some technical issues with our phone system following a software update completed over the weekend.

As a result, some calls may not be reaching us as expected, and it appears that some calls have been incorrectly diverted. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of the issue at the time, but we are actively working with our provider to get everything back up and running as quickly as possible.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through it. If you’re unable to get through by phone, please send us a message via Facebook or email and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Heads Up – Reduced Capacity for the Next 3 Weeks

With Hamish away for the next 3 weeks, our workshop will be operating with a smaller team than usual.

We are still open and working hard to keep vehicles moving, however booking lead times and repair completion times may be longer than normal during this period.

As we prepare to welcome our newest family member, we have introduced new booking options to make arranging your vehicle service easier and more convenient.

These improvements integrate with our upgraded management system, which now provides email reminders, as well as email and text notifications when your vehicle is ready for collection.

Of course, you can still contact us by phone. This will be required for larger repairs. However, as a busy workshop, there are times when we may not be able to answer immediately. If this happens, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

As a small family-owned business, having a full-time office administrator is not always practical. These new systems allow us to continue providing the personalised service our customers know and trust, while making communication more efficient for everyone.
