Fitted some of Net 4x4’s legendary recovery points today to a W580X.
Customer had powder coated them black so as they almost disappear.
A bit more work than a non Walkinshaw model as fender flares had to be removed and double sided tape removed and reapplied but a great result and great fit as usual.

Now stocking genuine ZF 8 speed auto service kits for the Amarok’s.
Surprising how dirty the factory transmission oil was at 60,000kms on this Amarok that we serviced today.
The magnets on the filter had also picked up quite a bit of contaminants out of the oil.
The kits aren’t cheap at $366.30 and we only use the best oil available.
First drain drops about 5 litres.
We then fill and run transmission through the ZF recommended steps to flush through what was left in the torque converter and oil cooler.
Then we drain another 5 litres out and top up again.
In total 10 litres of Liqui Moly Top Tec 1800 gets used.
Total cost including labour is $720.90.
Not cheap but either is a transmission rebuild.

Thanks to canopy installers, ad-blue tank fitted above diff with no room for full travel. Would have been blindingly obvious however no care/no responsibility is usually how they operate.
Ad-blue tank and sensors replaced and moved towards rear by 80mm so as diff now has clearance.
Filler also relocated to diesel filler side like factory as was installed on the right with a huge hose run (mostly running uphill) making it impossible to fill the tank.
A few brackets and it all fits up how it should have been done in the first place.
If you have recently had a canopy fitted, might pay to check for lack of workmanship.

SuperPro steering rack bushes are a must for those running big tyres.
The factory ones chop out very quickly.
This ROK has only traveled about 20,000km and already chopped out.
Replacement front diff fitted and steering rack reinstalled.
Next job, fix the smashed ad-blue tank (courtesy of canopy fitters) 😔

We had to drive U bolts out with large pin punch.
No idea how they made them fit like this.
