Today, we worked on a Kia Carnival V6 that had been experiencing a cylinder five misfire. The vehicle had previously been to the mechanic twice for this issue, but the problem had not been resolved. The previous mechanic had replaced the coil packs, yet the issue remained intermittent. Upon removing the intake manifold to further investigate, we discovered a metal sleeve lodged between the intake valve, which was causing a loss of compression in cylinder five. Counting this customer very lucky!
