Called him and he was busy, fair enough.
Said he'd call back, and never did.
In the brief conversation we had, he was only interested in using genuine parts.
Basically on a 12 yr old car and for a bit of hose, total overkill.
I can only suspect he wanted to gouge me on the parts.
One to steer clear of folks!

I believe you're referring to the windscreen wiper hose for a Subaru.
Unfortunately, as your call came through on a private number, I was unable to return it, once I found out the necessary information. For your specific model, the genuine hose was priced at $29. Based on my 30 years of
experience, opting for the genuine part for this type of hose on a Subaru is the best option. It ensures the best fit and reliability, without the complications of locating a decent non genuine one and hoping it fits just to save a few dollars.
Regardless of the car's age, my goal is always to provide the best solution balancing cost, time and quality.
