Customer rocked up with a bit of a clunk and some vague steering. Up on the hoist it went, and there it was, a torn boot and freeplay you could feel from the driveway.

Caliper slide pins. You've probably never thought about them. We think about them every single time. 😅

When we fit fresh pads, we pull these out, clean off the old gunk, check for wear, and re-grease with proper high-temp l**e. It's a 10 minute job that adds thousands of kilometres of even pad wear and smooth braking.

It's the difference between a brake service and a proper brake service. Perth roads are hard enough on your car, might as well do it right. 🔧

A Honda Civic rolled in vibrating like it was auditioning for a massage chair advert. The customer was certain it was engine mounts. Fair guess, but the real culprit was hiding elsewhere.

Engine mounts? Perfectly healthy ✔️
Exhaust hanger? Wrong part, rattling merrily against the body ❌

Spot the problem. 🔍

Suzuki Vitara rolled in for coolant hose work, and we found a blob of blue silicone doing its best impression of a coolant passage repair. Ten out of ten for effort, zero out of ten for engineering.

The previous "fix" was a silicone smear over a damaged coolant passage. Our plan? Do it properly, the first time.

Shortcuts on cooling systems always come back to bite, usually in the form of overheating, leaks, or a very sad wallet. 🫠

🔍 Hilux rolled in with a trailer plug playing dead. No lights, no power, no clue… until we cracked open the fuse box.

Turns out the fuse block had a case of the crusties 🧂 Corrosion on the contacts meant power was showing up to the party but never making it through the door.

What we did:
- Traced supply voltage back to the source
- Pulled the fuse block, cleaned the corroded contacts
- Tightened pins, cleared debris, fresh fuse in
- Tested every circuit at the plug ✔️

Towing season in Perth waits for no one. If your trailer lights are ghosting you, let's sort it before the cops do.
