Territory in for an intermittent no start/crank, vehicle was not actually playing up when we were testing it but again testing with the oscilloscope and a current clamp we could get a picture of what is actually occurring inside the starter motor, the now old starter had a pretty rough pattern straight up but zooming in on that pattern we can see the commutator is in very poor shape, more of a mess than a pattern due to the excessive wear.
New starter fitted in and no further issues!

Intermittent no start on a Mitsubishi challenger, found cam sensor intermittently not pulling down to earth using the mysterious tool that 95% of mechanics will never use "the oscilloscope" blue pattern showing new cam sensor now pulling to earth and pattern much tighter due to vehicle running.

Citroen C4 looking fresh after replacing rocker gaskets and a pressure wash to remove years dust and leaked oil, also running much better after replacing a dirty air filter, worn spark plugs and a failed ignition coil.
