Had a student who had trained with another instructor to do VORT then came to me for lessons. They were not taught how to angle park on the left because the right is easier and they can just park to the right in the test 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️. So what happens when this young person is in a situation where they have to park on the left?!?!?! Thankfully now, they are confidently parking on both sides 😁

My top 5 ways to save money on fuel 😁👍

1) Download Petrol Spy App - so you know where the cheapest petrol is available in your area.

2) Caltex offers a 10c per litre discount for RAA members. Scan your RAA card

3) OTR app. I like this because I can scan and pay via the app. Don't have to go into store. Discount ranges from 2c a litre to free tanks (i have had 2 free tanks of fuel since this promotion started, it can happen)

4) 4c off a litre when scanning your flybys or woolworths cards at participating retailers.

5) I love my hybrid car. While I don't think I'm ready for fully electric, the hybrid means I filling up with fuel way less.

Every cent helps. But don't drive miles for cheap petrol, the extra kilometres may not be worth what you saved.

New 40 km/h time-based school speed zones are being applied to high traffic roads near school campuses to improve children’s safety.

The new speed limits apply on school days between 8:00am-9:30am and 2:00pm-4:00pm, along with the 25 km/h school zones that always apply when children are present.

When my students ask me how was my weekend and my reply is very busy. This is why. 🤣. The last 3 Sundays my husband and I have been working on Christmas lights but it looks great. Our whole neighbourhood put up lights. Looks amazing 🤩

Good news for families 🚶

From the end of October, 40km/h time-based speed limits will start rolling out on arterial roads near schools - helping kids get to and from school safely.

The first signs will go up on Kensington Road (Marryatville High) and Goodwood Road (Goodwood Primary and St Thomas School) with the limits applying on school days from 8am to 9:30am and 2pm to 4pm.

Around 150 schools across SA will have the new speed limit implemented by the end of 2026.

We welcome this announcement by SA Government to better protect vulnerable road users.

The government are looking for learners, P1 or P2 drivers or a fully licensed driver assisting a learner to fill in this survey for information in regards to the new driving reform that will take place probably end of next year.

It has been a busy week. Blink and it is the weekend again. I feel like I've been nagging my students to practice to the point they all hate me. 🥴 But then a student sends me this message and I feel like it's all okay again. Love what I do ❤️
