A SSS Winch Challenge competitor kicking up some dust during the morning drive stage.

At a guess the stage was around 35 km’s in total length.

Things are kicking off at the SSS Winch Challenge.

Thanks to TGR Racing for the morning update.

I will be getting the 12 O’clock ferry home from work and then heading to Manar Park with the aim to arrive before the night stages which will be held close to camp.

For those attending we are camping at the front camp which is nice and handy too. 😎

Watch the rear left tyre lift off the ground and how this team uses the rear steer and winch to make their way along this section of course!

Did you know I was a super navi/ co-driver for many years?

I stopped due to helping run events, doing this media thing and a pesky knee injury from playing rugby league when I was younger.

I have had some of my knee fixed up in recent years, so maybe if I could get fit I could end up pulling the helmet on again? 🤔

No front hood? No worries!

3 x Trophy Trucks ( I still don’t know their classes 😬).

How good do they sound, and this is a cool little section of course too.
Up in the background all along the top of the ridgeline is where heaps of spectators set up for the race.

One crew even had a flat screen Tv & Starlink and had the live stream playing whilst watching this section at the same time. 👌😎
