This ANZAC Day, the teams at Waterson Diesel and CQ Diesel Fitting pause to honour the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have served our country.

It is also a time to reflect on the enduring spirit of mateship standing shoulder to shoulder, looking out for one another, and getting the job done together no matter the conditions. These values, forged in adversity, continue to resonate strongly within our industry and communities today.

Waterson Diesel & CQ Diesel Fitting – Public Holiday Schedule (April–May 2026)

As we approach the upcoming holiday period, the teams at Waterson Diesel and CQ Diesel Fitting would like to advise our customers and partners of our operating arrangements, while also wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable break.

Easter Long Weekend
Our workshops will be closed from Friday, 3rd April to Monday, 6th April 2026, reopening Tuesday, 7th April.

Labour Day (QLD) – Monday, 4th May 2026
We will be closed for the day, resuming normal operations Tuesday, 5th May.

Breakdown Support
Throughout all public holidays, our breakdown service will remain available via our usual contact channels to ensure continued support when it’s needed most.

Labourer – Apprenticeship Pathway Opportunity | Gladstone
Waterson Diesel and CQ Diesel Fitting are seeking a Labourer to join our Gladstone branch.

📍 Location: Gladstone
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

This is more than just a labouring role , it is a genuine pathway opportunity. The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment, reliability and mechanical aptitude, with the potential to progress into a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeship within our Gladstone branch.
If you’re looking to start a long-term career in the heavy vehicle industry and are willing to put in the work, this role could be your first step.

About the role:
• General workshop duties and housekeeping
• Assisting qualified technicians
• Manual handling and lifting
• Supporting daily workshop operations
• Learning workshop systems and procedures
This role involves physically demanding tasks within a busy workshop environment and requires the ability to safely perform the inherent physical requirements of the position.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is reliable and punctual
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic
• Is motivated to build a long-term career
• Is willing to learn and take direction
• Works well within a team environment
