🏁 GKC ROUND 4 – WHAT A DAY! 🏁

What an incredible afternoon and evening of racing at Gladstone Kart Club for Round 4 of our 2026 Club Championship.

Firstly, congratulations to all of our competitors. From our youngest Cadet drivers through to our senior classes, the racing was competitive, respectful and exciting all day long. Whether you stood on the podium or not, thank you for being part of another fantastic club meeting.

A special thank you to all of the racers and families who travelled from Maryborough, Bundaberg, Rockhampton and across Central Queensland to support the meeting, along with all of our local competitors. We know there are plenty of places to race, and we genuinely appreciate you choosing to spend your weekend with us.

👏 A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS 👏

Our club simply doesn't function without volunteers. In the weeks leading up to Round 4, countless hours were spent mowing, whipper-snipping, tidying the grounds, preparing the facility and repairing the circuit lighting to ensure everything was ready to go for race day.

The presentation of the club and the success of the meeting is a direct result of the effort put in by our volunteers, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do behind the scenes.

🍔 A huge thank you to our canteen team who worked tirelessly throughout the day keeping everyone fed and watered. Every dollar raised helps support the club and contributes towards future improvements and facilities.

🏁 Thank you to all of our officials, stewards, timekeepers and race-day volunteers who gave up their time to make the meeting possible. Your professionalism, commitment and dedication are greatly appreciated.

🏁 GKC ROUND 4 – SATURDAY AFTERNOON RACING! 🏁

Gladstone Kart Club is gearing up for Round 4 of our 2026 Club Championship and we'd love to see you trackside for an afternoon and evening of racing action!

📅 Saturday 13th June 2026
📍 Formula K Raceway, South Trees Drive, Gladstone

🔥 ALL POINTS COUNT!

With championship points on the line, drivers will be battling it out across four heats and a final in what promises to be one of the most exciting club rounds of the year.

⏰ Event Schedule
• Gates Open – 9:00am
• Canteen Opens -11:00am. Open for Presentation.
• Practice Commences – 1:00pm
• Racing Commences Following Practice
• Estimated Finish – Approximately 6:00pm

🏁 Race Format
• 2 x Practice Sessions
• Reverse Grid
• Heat 1 – 10 laps
• Heat 2 – 10 laps
• Heat 3 – 14 laps
• Heat 4 / Final – 16 laps
• ALL POINTS COUNT

Whether you're racing, supporting a competitor or just keen to check out some close kart racing, everyone is welcome.

Big thanks to Bendigo Bank Calliope and Gladstone for helping us upgrade our Square Register system through their community grant program.

The new setup has already improved speed and reliability on race days, and our amazing volunteers — Jana, Kay, Rose and many others — are absolutely loving how much smoother it is to use.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support. Grants like this help us continue delivering great events for local families, competitors and visitors alike.

If you’re looking to support a bank that invests back into local clubs and community groups, Bendigo Bank Calliope and Gladstone is a great example of that support in action.

A special welcome to new member Will Smithwick, who had his first run on a Karting Australia track in KA3 Junior Light — great to have you racing with us mate! 👌

We’d also like to give a massive shoutout to all the mums and grandmas who jumped into karts during our Come & Try session. It was awesome seeing everyone out on track having a blast, and the smiles said it all! 💐🏎️

Thanks again to everyone who travelled, raced, volunteered, helped in the canteen, officiated and supported the event. Club racing only happens because of the amazing people behind it.
