Strath Lions FC Mid-Season Update – Building More Than Football
As we are over the halfway point of the season, it’s a fantastic opportunity to reflect on what has already been an outstanding year for Strath Lions Football Club. While results on the field are encouraging, what we’re most proud of is seeing our players grow in confidence, character and their love for the game.
Our Under 15s continue to lead the way, sitting proudly on top of the league ladder. Their success is built on far more than talent—it reflects their humility, teamwork, commitment and passion for the game. They have become wonderful role models for our younger players, demonstrating that success comes from hard work, respect and playing for each other.
Friday nights have become a highlight of the week thanks to our exciting Under 17s. Their matches are fast-paced, competitive and full of energy, providing fantastic entertainment to kick-start the weekend. The team continues to develop each week, and it’s been wonderful to see the support they receive from families and the wider community.
Across the club, our Under 13s, Under 11s, Under 9s and Under 7s have embraced the season with enthusiasm. Every training session and game presents another opportunity to learn new skills, build friendships and grow in confidence. Watching our youngest players develop both on and off the pitch is a reminder of what junior football is all about.
