Unfortunately, the person we originally had lined up for this role has fallen through, so the opportunity is now available again. Weâre looking for the right person who is genuinely committed, reliable and interested in building something long-term with us.
Iâm looking for someone to come and join Aimee and I at Elite Street Carriers / JB Automotive.
Iâm after someone to drive my little 3-car carrier interstate. This isnât your typical truck driving job, and to be honest, Iâm probably not looking for an experienced truck driver. Iâd much rather find a good, honest person with the right attitude who loves cars and wants to build something long-term with us.
If youâve got family commitments and need to be home every night, this probably wonât suit. We mainly service Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, with the occasional Queensland job (which usually transfers onto another carrier from Sydney).
At the moment I canât guarantee five days a week in the truck while we continue to grow. I understand people need security, so on quieter days thereâll always be work around JB Automotive cleaning cars, helping around the workshop, detailing, keeping the yard and truck tidy, or whatever needs doing.
Iâm even happy to pay for the right personâs truck licence if youâre committed and genuinely want to make a career out of it. What I donât want is someone whoâs only looking for something to do for a couple of months before moving on.
Anyone who knows me knows Iâm pretty OCD when it comes to my equipment and the way I run my businesses. I take a lot of pride in what weâve built, and all I ask is that someone looks after it the same way I do.
Youâll be driving a 2024 Hino 500 automatic 3-car carrier thatâs basically brand new, transporting some pretty special machinery all over Australia. It would definitely help if youâve got a passion for cars and some basic mechanical knowledge, as we deal with a lot of lowered and modified vehicles.
Once youâre trained, youâre pretty much your own boss. No one standing over your shoulder every five minutes. Just you, the open road, some awesome cars and the responsibility of doing the job properly.

Pay:
* $400 per day driving, plus hotel accommodation while away (or if youâd rather sleep in the truck, we can work out an overnight allowance).
* On days youâre helping out at JB Automotive, itâll be $35 per hour.
Iâm not chasing the bloke whoâs going to tell me heâs been driving road trains for 30 years and knows everything. Iâm just looking for someone whoâs reliable, takes pride in their work, loves cars, and wants to be part of what weâre building.
