How did we get the name S.A.M'S Auto Service? Simple. 'S' is for SIMON Wallbaum, 'A' is for ADRIAN Klippan and 'M' is for MATT Simpson, the 3 owner/Operators.Together we are S.A.M'S. We have over 50 years experience in the Automotive industry, most recently working for Leaseplan Australia at Dasfleet Auto until it's closure in late 2015. Good thing we've got some side projects to keep us busy. Like this WRX getting a bigger turbo, fuel injectors, fuel pump & intercooler. Plus a Ford Barra non turbo engine conversion for this 74 model Ford F100 and a Ford Barra turbo engine conversion to this 90 model Nissan Patrol 4wd. (see pictures attached)

If your Hyundai I40 steering column feels clunky or makes a knocking type noise when turning its very likely that the 'Motor driven power steering coupling' or MDPS has disintegrated, this small rubber part only cost's about $20 but the problem is you have to remove the entire steering column to access the part making the job labour intensive. See attached pictures below of what this part should and should not look like 😊 if you are experiencing a similar problem with your Hyundai or any other vehicle or you're just due for a service give us a call at S.A.M'S Auto Service on 02 62281632 or message us anytime on Facebook.
