Period 4 Junior
The Period 4 Junior class belonged to Paul Smith (WA) and his highly capable Honda CB350. Smith completed a clean sweep of the weekend with rider and machine appearing perfectly in sync throughout the meeting.
Lauchy Williams (WA) adapted quickly to a new motorcycle and delivered a superb performance aboard the Yamaha TR3, securing second overall. Finishing third was Mark Ackermans (WA), who impressed by jumping straight from a superbike onto a Honda CB350 and immediately finding competitive pace.
Strong individual race performances from fellow CB350 riders Shaun Oliver (WA) and Dan Barson (WA) highlighted the depth of the class, while an unfortunate weekend for club front-runner Tony Logan aboard his Honda Drixton 350 prevented him from challenging for the higher championship positions after a second place in race 1.
The meeting showcased the strength of historic road racing with dominant championship-winning rides from Donovan and Smith complemented by close competition and determined performances throughout both classes.
