Dial In Your Suzuki V-Strom 1050DE with a Wilbers Suspension Upgrade 🏍️
If you’ve spent time on the 1050DE, you’ll know the stock suspension can feel a bit out of sync — especially when the terrain gets rough or the pace picks up. That’s where a proper Wilbers setup makes all the difference.
Up front, the OEM fork tends to ride high in the stroke with overly firm damping, limiting compliance and feedback. We rework the internal setup to better utilise the initial stroke, improving small-bump absorption and overall front-end feel. The result is a fork that tracks the ground more naturally and inspires far more confidence.
At the rear, the standard shock can feel harsh and restrictive, with limited adjustment range and an overly stiff spring. Our upgrade softens and balances the setup, with revised rebound and compression damping that allows the bike to move more freely over uneven surfaces — improving traction and rider comfort in a big way.
We also fine-tune the bike’s geometry by adjusting sag and ride characteristics, helping the bike settle more naturally without affecting the original seat height.
