Recently we had Tony's beautiful XY Fairmont in for a bunch of work.
Running a 393 cleveland stroker, the engine was always showing signs of oil on the spark plugs. We found the 4v heads hadn't had the port fillers (toungs) glued in. Only screwed in. So we pulled the heads off had them fully Reconditioned as well as a valve spring change to suit the camshaft correctly.
As we were putting the car together, it had orginally come in with a holley sniper, we ditched that and converted the car back to a carby. We bolted a 750 APD carb onto the manifold and converted the car back to an orginal looking engine bay.
Once we got onto the dyno and fine tuned everything we made a solid 293rwkw. Picking up over 25kw from the holley sniper up top and a massive 40kw through the mid range.
Tony drove the car and was blown away at how much better the car drove.
