What a story
169 of these HQ Holdens were built for the '74 Commonwealth Games in ChCh. Then they were sold and snapped up. I think they were white, 253 V8 autos with "Rostyle" style wheels and the red and blue stripes. Probably very good cars. Do any still exist.

Looking east up William Street towards Kings Cross and the iconic Coke sign, in 1979.

A unmistakeable advertisment and a popular meeting spot, the red and white neon billboard was erected in 1974 with the left side of the billboard later added in 1990.

In 2015, the Coke sign was removed to make way for an upgraded Coke sign. The lettering was auctioned off, raising $100,700 for the Wayside Chapel, but the hyphen between the words was given away via a Facebook contest.
