Long before Scott's became a household name across Australia, there was Bob Scott. A war veteran, entrepreneur, family man and someone many knew as "Honest Bob".
Born into a family of 12 children, Bob left school at just 12 years old to help put food on the table for his younger brothers and sisters. He sold boiled lollies, set rabbit traps and did whatever was needed to help support his family.
After serving on the Kokoda Track during World War II, he returned home with the same determination that would define the rest of his life.
๐ช๐ต๐ฒ๐ป ๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ด, ๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฝ๐น๐ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ป'๐ ๐ด๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฝ.
๐๐ฃ 1951, ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ฎ ๐ ๐ก๐ค๐ซ๐ ๐ค๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฃ๐ and a determination to build something of his own, Bob purchased his first car and founded Bob Scott's Auto Park. Seventy-five years later, that same business continues on as Scott's Parts Plus.
๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ง ๐๐๐จ๐๐ง๐๐๐๐จ ๐๐๐จ ๐๐๐ ๐๐จ ๐ ๐ข๐๐ฃ ๐ค๐ ๐จ๐ฉ๐ง๐ค๐ฃ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ก๐ช๐๐จ, ๐ฆ๐ช๐๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ง๐ค๐จ๐๐ฉ๐ฎ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ช๐ฃ๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ฎ. Someone who worked hard, looked after his family, and believed that if you wanted to get ahead, you had to get out of bed and have a go.
