hey have been in an accident. That's why we go the extra mile to ensure your car is ready to be back on the road. Dubbo City Smash & Mechanical is run by Aaron and his wife Jacque. Both have more than 35 years' combined experience in the automotive industry. Aaron's father Terry is the workshop's head mechanic, bringing 45 years of his own experience as well. The business employs highly skilled spray painters, smash repairers and mechanics to ensure quality in everything we do. In recent years we have expanded and moved to a new workshop on Mountbatten Drive. This has given us plenty of room for our specialty equipment, allowing us to take even better care of our customers. When you need a professional finish for your car or bike, come down and see Dubbo City Smash & Mechanical.

Western NSW conditions are tough on vehicles. Dust, corrugations and heavy loads test every component.

Local knowledge plays a major role when selecting upgrades that truly perform in these environments. From suspension tuning to protective accessories, choosing equipment suited to regional conditions helps extend vehicle lifespan, improve reliability and maintain consistent performance across demanding rural roads.

As a family-owned Dubbo business, we build setups based on real local experience, not generic assumptions.

If you drive the Central West regularly, get advice from a team that knows it well.

Lift heights, GVM limits and ADR requirements are not areas for guesswork.

Incorrect modifications can lead to costly defects, reduced vehicle performance and complications with insurance claims. Getting professional advice before upgrading helps ensure your 4WD remains safe, roadworthy and legally compliant for both daily driving and touring.

Staying compliant protects your insurance and your peace of mind.

With over 35 years of combined experience, we ensure every upgrade meets legal standards and engineering requirements.

If you are unsure about your current setup, we are happy to fine-tune it with you.

A quality bullbar does more than change the look of your rig.

Built for tough Australian conditions, a properly selected bullbar helps shield critical front-end components from animal strikes, debris and off-road hazards while improving mounting options for antennas, driving lights and essential recovery gear.

It provides ADR-compliant protection, integrates lighting and supports winch and recovery points.

Optional colour matching is available to help keep everything looking factory finished and compliant.

If protection is on your upgrade list, we can guide you through the right setup.

Loose gear in the back of a ute is more than inconvenient. It can affect weight distribution and safety.

Well-designed storage solutions also protect valuable tools and touring equipment from dust, weather and impact during long trips. A properly planned layout makes everyday access easier, improves load balance and helps maintain a tidy, efficient workspace, whether on site or exploring remote tracks.

Drawer systems, racks and canopies keep equipment secure and organised while supporting your overall load strategy.

If your current setup feels cluttered, we can design something more practical.

Upgrades should not end the day you drive away. Suspension systems settle, and small adjustments can make a big difference.

Our aftercare process also identifies early wear, checks torque settings, inspects load distribution, and ensures your vehicle handles safely under real-world conditions, including rough tracks and heavy loads, giving you confidence and peace of mind for every trip, every kilometre.

That is why we include a 1000 km post-fit check to confirm everything is performing as it should.

If you're thinking about the upgrade, ask us about our aftercare process.

Corrugations, paddocks and long highway runs all demand the right suspension.

Quality suspension upgrades improve stability, tyre contact and driver confidence, helping your 4WD stay controlled over rough tracks, heavy loads and unpredictable terrain during everyday work, towing duties and long-distance touring adventures.

The wrong setup can mean harsh rides, poor handling and uneven load support.

We tailor every suspension system to your vehicle, GVM and driving style, then complete a 1000 km check to ensure it settles correctly.

Thinking about improving comfort and control? Let’s talk options.

Even well-planned trips can turn tricky.

Properly rated recovery gear improves safety for both the driver and recovery team, ensuring controlled pulls and reducing risk when navigating ruts, sand, steep inclines or unexpected obstacles during remote touring or worksite access.

The right winch, recovery points and supporting gear make all the difference when tracks get muddy or uneven.

We help you choose equipment suited to your vehicle and typical terrain, then fit everything in-house for a safe, practical setup.

Want confidence when heading off-road?

Start with the right recovery plan.

Driving through the Central West at dawn or dusk, you learn pretty quickly that roos and wombats don't check for traffic.

A properly fitted bullbar is one of the most practical upgrades for anyone regularly driving rural roads around Dubbo, Wellington or Narromine. Steel or alloy options provide serious front-end protection for your engine, radiator and headlights against animal strikes and road debris, while keeping your vehicle ADR compliant and airbag compatible.

We source from trusted brands like Rockarmor, Dobinsons, OCAM and Offroad Animal, with colour matching available upon request.

If country driving is part of your daily routine, a bullbar is worth the conversation. Give us a call on (02) 6884 7174.

Before hitching up the caravan or work trailer, it pays to ensure your towbar and braking setup are rated and wired correctly.

Proper towing setup also includes load distribution, reliable electrical connections and brake controller calibration to maintain safe stopping distances. Our experienced team checks compatibility with your vehicle, trailer weight and touring requirements to help prevent sway, wiring faults and unnecessary strain.

We fit ADR-rated towbars and complete brake solutions designed for safe towing across regional roads and long touring trips.

Planning a tow soon? Let’s make sure your vehicle is ready.
