A bit more evening progress. Front and rear loom have been release. Audio is out. The challenge of loom removal under dashboard and extraction through the fire wall appear a much bigger task.

Next job of engine loom swap on the white 208Gti has started. I hope swivel engine forward on the bottom mount and remove intake manifold insitu but I might be dreaming

Know issues have been sorted.Fingers crossed that the unknown issues are manageable.

Checking and rechecking. Fingers crossed for the weekend. Oil flow confirmed to the engine. Checking oil pressure sensor is next.

Heat 3 of the IPRA Nationals in slippery conditions at Phillip Island. Our first race of the day so I was tentertive. Last half has no passing as we were lapping the same tme with a gap. Stlll learning the new Insta360 x4 camera so the first two heats were over exposed and the final was videoed through the rear camera rather than the front camera.

Switched horses for the IPRA Nationals. 206 was a bridge too far(or I started too late). Solved one electrical issue in the 208GTi a couple of weeks ago by changing out the ECU. Only for the VVT motor to die. Swapped that a week or so ago and the car now runs. Off to Mallala in the morning to make sure it is or going to throw any more surprises at me.

Swapped exhaust VVT solenoids and it didn’t fix you!

I much prefer the driver’s seat but there was a coolant leak down the back of the gearbox which is typically the thermostat housing. There are several different arrangements and temperature sensors to add the fun. There is still an electrical issue so I was earth hunting anyway, but all appear relatively ok except one crimp on a positive connection terminal, which I don’t think is the problem.
